d.i.y. design

Design should be inclusive. I like it when things get a bit messy, and people make personal ammendments to the things they use and places they live. For example...

On the left, a DIY ashtray, outside ASDA, Leyton. On the right, a DIY bin, formerly a fire extinguisher storage area near The Mall, London.

A DIY church hall. This area doubles as a church and a doctor's waiting room. With a little hand-sewn addition, polyprop chairs are given the capacity to hold hymn books.

DIY bike basket. On the left, a shopping basket seen in Salisbury. On the right, a crate, seen in Amsterdam.

DIY layout. I like the way this graffiti artist has been influenced by the features of the building they were drawing on. Go GO-RD-ON!
